Local, licensed, and dedicated to quality.
In Mukilteo, where wood-burning fireplaces are a cozy staple during rainy winters, your chimney isn’t just a feature—it’s a critical safety system. Willow Chimney and Dryer Vent Cleaning Co. exists to protect that system with honest, transparent service. Unlike national chains that pad prices or local sweeps who treat chimneys like an afterthought, we specialize in giving Mukilteo homeowners exactly what they need: thorough inspections, precise cleaning, and upfront pricing that never hides fees. Our team combines decades of experience with a no-nonsense approach, ensuring you’re never overcharged for basic maintenance or upsold on unnecessary upgrades.
What sets us apart isn’t just our meticulous attention to detail—it’s our refusal to play games with pricing. Too many Mukilteo residents assume a chimney sweep is a one-size-fits-all expense, but the truth is, your costs should reflect the actual work done. We start with a free, no-obligation estimate that breaks down every step, from creosote removal to flue inspection, so you know exactly what you’re paying for before we even touch your chimney. No surprise charges. No vague ‘labor fees.’ Just straightforward service at a fair price, because your safety—and your wallet—deserve better than the industry standard.
Local knowledge matters, especially in a town like Mukilteo where older homes with brick fireplaces sit alongside newer builds with stainless steel inserts. We’ve seen firsthand how a poorly maintained chimney can turn a winter evening into a fire hazard—or worse, a costly repair bill. Our sweeps are trained to spot issues most homeowners miss, from cracked liners to improper drafts, and we’ll explain them in plain terms, not technician jargon. Whether you’re prepping for holiday fires or just want to avoid the hassle of a blocked flue mid-winter, we’re the Mukilteo chimney sweep you can trust to do the job right, the first time—without the premium markup.
Big-box stores and ‘national’ chimney services often lowball their initial quote—then hit you with ‘hidden’ fees for ‘minor repairs’ or ‘extra inspections.’ We **never** do that. Our pricing is **all-inclusive**, with no upsells for ‘preventative’ work you don’t need. Plus, we’re **local to Mukilteo**, so we know the specific issues your home faces—like **moisture damage from Puget Sound winds** or **creosote buildup from burning damp local wood**. You’ll get a **detailed report** after every service, not just a vague ‘everything’s fine.’
Other chimney sweeps in the area **overcharge** for ‘deep cleaning’ or ‘emergency’ fees. We don’t. Our **flat-rate pricing** covers the work you actually need, not what we *want* to sell you. For example, if your chimney only needs a **standard sweep** (not a full rebuild), you’ll pay **$129**—not $250. We also **bundle services** when it makes sense (like pairing a chimney sweep with a dryer vent check for $20 off). And because we’re licensed and insured, your insurance may **cover part of the cost**—we’ll check for you.
Mukilteo’s **coastal climate** and **older housing stock** create unique chimney and dryer vent problems. We specifically look for: - **Salt corrosion** in metal flues from Puget Sound moisture. - **Creosote buildup** from burning damp wood (common in winter). - **Blocked dryer vents** in homes with long runs (like near the ferry terminal). - **Improperly sealed gas lines** in older homes (a CO risk). Most sweeps won’t tell you about these—we do, so you can fix them **before** they become expensive repairs.
Some companies offer ‘free estimates’—then show up and try to sell you a **$1,000 chimney rebuild** when you only needed a sweep. We **never** do that. Our ‘free’ estimate is **truly free**, with no pressure to buy. We’ll inspect your chimney or dryer vent, explain **exactly** what’s wrong (and what’s fine), and give you a **written quote** before we start. If you’re not happy with the price, you’re under **no obligation**. That’s how we’ve earned **5-star reviews** from Mukilteo homeowners who’ve been burned by overpriced ‘deals’ before.
